UGREEN CM816 FineTrack Smart Finder

The UGREEN FineTrack CM816 helps Apple users keep track of important personal belongings without requiring a separate tracking app or paid subscription.

Once paired with an iPhone or iPad, the FineTrack appears under the Items section of Apple’s Find My app. You can then view its location, play a sound when it is nearby, receive separation alerts and use Apple’s Find My network to help locate an item that is farther away.

Works with Apple Find My

The CM816 integrates with the Apple Find My network. To add it, you open the Find My app on a compatible iPhone or iPad, select Items → Add Item → Other Supported Item, and complete the pairing process.

This makes the FineTrack particularly useful for:

Find Items Around the World

When the FineTrack is outside your direct Bluetooth range, Apple’s Find My network can help update its location. The tracker broadcasts a Bluetooth signal that nearby participating Apple devices can detect and securely relay through the Find My network. Location updates therefore depend on nearby Apple devices and are not continuous real-time GPS tracking.

Loud 80dB Locating Alarm

If your item is nearby but you cannot see it, you can use Play Sound in the Find My app. The CM816 can produce an alarm of up to approximately 80dB, making it easier to find keys, bags and other items hidden nearby.

UGREEN’s documentation notes that sound locating typically works when the tracker is around 10–20 metres from the iPhone, although walls and other environmental conditions can reduce this distance.

Left Behind Reminders

The FineTrack can help prevent you from accidentally leaving an important item behind. When supported by the Find My app, you can receive a notification after becoming separated from the tracker. This feature is useful when travelling or carrying important equipment. For example, placing a FineTrack in your laptop bag can help remind you if you leave the bag behind.

Share with Family or Friends

With iOS 17 or later, FineTrack information can be shared with up to five people. This can be useful when several family members need access to the location of shared luggage, keys or another common item. A compatible iPhone or iPad can pair with up to 32 trackers, according to UGREEN’s CM816 documentation.

Up to 2 Years Battery Life

The CM816 uses a standard CR2032 coin-cell battery.

UGREEN rates its theoretical operating time at up to:

24 months / 2 years

The battery is also replaceable, so you can install a new CR2032 instead of replacing the entire tracker when the original battery runs out. The official specification lists a nominal battery capacity of 225mAh at 3V (0.675Wh). Actual battery life depends on usage and environmental conditions.

Child Resistant Battery Compartment

UGREEN designed the FineTrack battery compartment to comply with UL4200A requirements. The casing is intentionally harder for young children to open, helping reduce accidental access to the CR2032 coin cell battery.

Compact Design

At approximately 36 × 36 × 7.4mm, the FineTrack is small enough to carry with everyday belongings without adding significant bulk. A lanyard is included, making it easier to attach the tracker to keys, bags and luggage.

Initial pairing is performed using an iPhone or iPad. A Mac can view the location of an already paired FineTrack but cannot perform the initial pairing.
