The TP-Link AX3000 Wall Plate Wi-Fi 6 Access Point – TL-EAP655-WALL provides fast and reliable room-by-room connectivity. Its compact wall mounted design helps create a dedicated wireless network without using desk or ceiling space.

Therefore, it is ideal for hotels, offices, apartments, hospitals, dormitories and villas. It also provides wired connections for devices such as computers, IP phones, printers and smart televisions.

Fast AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 Performance

The TL-EAP655-WALL delivers combined wireless speeds of up to 2,976 Mbps. The 2.4 GHz band reaches up to 574 Mbps, while the 5 GHz band offers up to 2,402 Mbps.

In addition, the 160 MHz channel width provides more bandwidth for compatible devices. OFDMA, MU-MIMO and 1024-QAM also improve network use. As a result, users can enjoy smoother streaming, video calls, downloads and cloud-based services.

Complete In-Room Wi-Fi Coverage

The access point uses two internal dual-band antennas. It provides wireless coverage of up to 50 square metres under suitable conditions. Moreover, it supports more than 120 concurrent connections.

Installing one access point in each room helps reduce weak signals and network congestion. However, actual coverage depends on walls, interference, connected devices and the installation environment.

Four Gigabit Ethernet Ports

The EAP655-WALL includes four Gigabit Ethernet ports. It has one Gigabit uplink port with PoE input and three Gigabit downlink ports for wired devices.

One downlink port also supports PoE pass-through. Therefore, it can power a compatible IP phone, camera or other PoE device. PoE pass-through requires the access point to receive power through an 802.3at PoE+ connection.

Easy PoE Installation

The TP-Link TL-EAP655-WALL supports 802.3af and 802.3at PoE. A single Ethernet cable can carry both power and network data to the access point.

Consequently, installers do not need a separate power socket near the unit. The access point fits 86 mm, standard European and standard US wall junction boxes.

Omada Central Management

The EAP655-WALL integrates with the TP-Link Omada SDN platform. Administrators can manage multiple access points, users, wireless settings and guest networks from one interface.

Furthermore, the access point supports Omada hardware controllers, software controllers and cloud-based management. Seamless roaming helps supported devices move between access points with fewer connection interruptions.

Secure Business and Guest Networks

The access point supports WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 security. It also offers VLAN support, captive portal authentication, client isolation and 802.1X authentication.

In addition, administrators can create up to 16 wireless network names. This makes it easier to separate staff, guest and operational network traffic.
