Tp-link AX1800 Wall Plate WiFi 6 Access Point – EAP615-WALL

The TP-Link AX1800 Wall Plate Wi-Fi 6 Access Point – TL-EAP615-WALL provides fast wireless and wired connectivity in individual rooms. Its slim wall mounted design replaces a standard network wall plate. Therefore, it delivers strong Wi-Fi coverage without taking up desk or ceiling space.

It is well suited for hotels, apartments, student residences, offices, hospitals and other multi-room buildings. Each room can have its own reliable wireless network and wired connection points.

Fast AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Performance

The TL-EAP615-WALL delivers combined wireless speeds of up to 1,775 Mbps. It provides up to 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1,201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band.

Wi-Fi 6 technologies such as OFDMA, MU-MIMO, beamforming and 1024-QAM improve network capacity and reduce delays. As a result, users can enjoy smooth video calls, streaming, browsing and access to cloud services.

Complete In Room Wi-Fi Coverage

The access point uses internal omnidirectional antennas to distribute the wireless signal throughout a room. It provides coverage of up to approximately 50 square metres under suitable conditions.

Therefore, installing one access point in each room helps reduce weak signals and overcrowded wireless networks. However, actual coverage may vary due to walls, interference and connected devices.

Four Gigabit Ethernet Ports

The EAP615-WALL includes one Gigabit PoE input port and three Gigabit downlink ports. One downlink port also supports passive PoE output.

Consequently, users can connect wired devices such as desktop computers, smart televisions, printers and IP phones. The PoE pass-through port can also power a compatible device without requiring a separate electrical cable.

Simple PoE Installation

The access point supports 802.3af and 802.3at PoE. Therefore, a single network cable can carry both data and power to the unit.

This design reduces cabling and simplifies installation. However, a compatible PoE switch or injector is required. The package does not include a PoE power adapter.

Omada Central Management

The TL-EAP615-WALL integrates with the TP-Link Omada platform. Network administrators can manage access points, wireless settings, connected users and guest networks through one interface.

Furthermore, it supports Omada Mesh, centralized cloud management and seamless roaming. Supported devices can move between access points while maintaining a more stable connection. Controller-based features may require a compatible Omada Controller.

Secure Guest and Business Networks

The access point supports WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 security. It also offers guest networks, captive portal authentication, VLANs, MAC filtering and 802.1X authentication.

As a result, businesses can separate guest traffic from staff and operational devices. Up to 16 wireless network names can also be configured across both frequency bands.
