The UGREEN NASync DH2300 provides a simple way to keep photos, videos, documents and backups in one central location. Instead of relying entirely on subscription based cloud storage, you can create your own private storage system at home or in a small office.

UGREEN designed this model with beginners in mind. Its UGOS Pro operating system provides an easy interface for backups, file management, photo organization, media playback and remote access.

2-Bay Storage with Up to 64TB

The DH2300 has two SATA drive bays and currently supports up to 64TB raw capacity using 2 × 32TB compatible drives. The unit comes diskless, so HDDs or SSDs must be purchased separately. You can choose drives based on your budget, storage needs and preferred RAID configuration.

Powerful 8-Core Processor

UGREEN equips the DH2300 with a Rockchip ARM processor featuring A72 and A53 cores. The 8-core processor runs at up to 2.2GHz and is designed for efficient everyday NAS workloads. It handles common tasks such as file backups, photo management, media playback and remote file access.

4GB LPDDR4X RAM

The NAS includes 4GB LPDDR4X memory for everyday storage and media tasks. The RAM is onboard rather than designed as user upgradeable memory. The system also has 32GB eMMC storage for UGOS Pro.

AI Photo Album

One of the DH2300’s main features is its built-in AI-powered photo management. UGREEN’s software can organize photos using faces, scenes and locations. It can also help identify duplicate images and create organized albums, making large family photo collections easier to manage.

Remote Access

The DH2300 lets authorized users access their files remotely through supported UGREEN applications. UGREEN provides support across Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and web browsers, allowing users to access their private storage from different devices.

1GbE Network Port

The NAS includes one Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) RJ45 port for connecting directly to your network. UGREEN rates the Gigabit connection for transfers of up to around 125MB/s under suitable conditions. Actual speeds depend on the installed drives, network equipment and workload.

4K 60Hz HDMI Output

The DH2300 includes an HDMI output supporting up to 4K at 60Hz. This allows direct connection to a compatible monitor or TV for supported media applications.

High Speed USB Ports

UGREEN provides three high-speed USB connections: 1 × USB-C 5Gbps and 2 × USB-A 5Gbps. You can use these ports with supported external storage and other compatible USB devices.

RAID Support

The two-bay DH2300 supports Basic, JBOD, RAID 0 and RAID 1. For important personal or business files, RAID 1 can mirror data across two drives. However, RAID does not replace a separate backup.

Technical Specifications

Important Limitation

The DH2300 is designed primarily for home storage, photo backup and everyday media use. UGREEN specifically states that this entry-level model does not officially support Docker or virtual machines.

Customers who need heavier applications, expandable memory, NVMe storage or faster 2.5/10GbE networking should consider the DXP series instead.

Ideal Uses

The UGREEN DH2300 works well for family photo and video storage, automatic device backups, personal documents, home media libraries, remote file access and private cloud storage.

Its simple software and relatively low-power hardware also make it a suitable first NAS for users moving away from external hard drives or subscription cloud storage.
