Solar Powered Security Without Mains Electricity

The camera uses a solar panel and rechargeable lithium battery to support off grid surveillance. Its integrated power system reduces the need for electrical cabling, making installation practical in remote locations.

The kit features a 10W solar panel and approximately 50.76Wh battery, with a rated battery runtime of around 27 hours under specified operating conditions without solar input. Actual battery performance depends on sunlight, temperature, recording activity, network conditions and camera usage.

4G LTE Connectivity

The camera supports 4G LTE data transmission, allowing users to access surveillance footage without a fixed broadband connection. With a compatible, activated SIM card and sufficient mobile data, users can remotely monitor the camera through Hik Connect. This is especially useful for farms, construction sites and properties without fibre or Wi-Fi connectivity.

2MP Full HD Video Surveillance

The camera captures video at 1920 × 1080 resolution, providing clear footage for everyday security monitoring. Its 1/2.9-inch progressive scan CMOS sensor supports reliable imaging in daylight and low-light environments.

Motorized Pan and Tilt

The camera supports remote adjustment of its viewing direction, allowing users to monitor different parts of a property. It provides up to 340° horizontal pan and 80° vertical tilt.

Unlike a motorized optical zoom camera, this model uses a fixed lens. Pan-and-tilt movement changes the viewing direction rather than the lens focal length.

PIR and Radar Dual Detection

The camera combines passive infrared (PIR) sensing with radar technology to improve detection accuracy. These technologies work together to identify relevant movement and reduce unnecessary security alerts. The radar detection angle can be adjusted manually to 0°, 10° or 20° for different installation requirements.

Two Way Audio and Audible Warning

A built in microphone and speaker allow users to listen and communicate remotely through compatible monitoring software. The camera also supports audible warnings that can be triggered by configured security events.

30m Infrared Night Vision

The camera provides infrared illumination up to 30 metres, supporting black and white night time monitoring without visible white light illumination.

Local Storage and IP66 Protection

The camera supports a microSD card of up to 512GB for local recording, reducing dependence on continuous cloud recording. Its IP66 rated housing provides protection against dust and powerful water jets, making it suitable for outdoor installations.

Basic Installation and Setup

1. Prepare the SIM card. Activate a compatible mobile data SIM and ensure there is sufficient 4G signal at the installation location.

2. Install storage. Insert a compatible microSD card if local recording is required, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Mount the camera and solar panel. Choose a secure position with good surveillance coverage and sufficient direct sunlight.

4. Connect the solar panel. Use the supplied weatherproof connectors and follow the correct connection sequence in the quick-start guide.

5. Activate the camera. Power it on, add it to Hik-Connect using its QR code or serial number, and complete the activation process.

6. Configure detection and recording. Set the PIR/radar detection area, notification preferences, audio warning and recording schedule.

7. Test the installation. Confirm mobile connectivity, remote live viewing, battery charging, night vision and pan and tilt operation.
