The TL-CPE610 operates on the 5GHz frequency band and delivers wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps. Its 23dBi high-gain directional antenna focuses the wireless signal towards a specific location.

As a result, it can create stable point to point links over long distances when correctly installed and aligned. TP-Link states that it can support transmission distances of up to 30 kilometres under suitable conditions. However, actual range depends on clear line of sight, mounting height, interference, weather and local power regulations.

Powerful 23dBi Directional Antenna

The CPE610 features a 23dBi 2×2 MIMO Cassegrain antenna with a dedicated metal reflector. This design offers a narrow and focused wireless beam.

Moreover, the focused signal helps reduce unwanted interference from nearby networks. It also improves signal strength, latency and connection stability across long distances. The antenna has a beamwidth of 9 degrees horizontally and 7 degrees vertically.

Ideal for Point to Point Connections

Two TL-CPE610 units can create a wireless bridge between separate buildings or locations. One unit works as the access point, while the second operates as the client.

This setup can extend an existing network without digging trenches or installing long cable runs. Therefore, it is suitable for offices, schools, factories, warehouses and homes located within clear line of sight.

The device also supports point-to-multipoint applications. A central access point can connect to several compatible client devices across a wide area.

Pharos MAXtream TDMA Technology

TP-Link Pharos MAXtream TDMA technology improves network performance in busy point-to-multipoint installations. It helps reduce wireless collisions when several CPE devices communicate with one access point.

Consequently, the network can deliver improved capacity, lower delay and more stable data transmission. This technology is especially useful for outdoor networks with many connected client units.

Durable Outdoor Construction

The TP-Link CPE610 has an IP65 rated weather resistant enclosure. It helps protect the internal components against rain, dust and changing outdoor conditions.

In addition, it provides 15kV electrostatic discharge protection and 6kV lightning protection. Its strong structure and snap-lock design also help the unit remain stable in windy conditions.

For best protection, installers should use proper grounding and shielded outdoor Ethernet cable.

Flexible Passive PoE Installation

The CPE610 receives data and power through one Ethernet cable using the included 24V passive PoE adapter. This simplifies installation because a separate power socket is not required near the outdoor unit.

Furthermore, passive PoE supports cable runs of up to 60 metres under suitable conditions. The adapter also includes a remote reset button, allowing administrators to reset the CPE from indoors.

Centralized Pharos Management

The TL-CPE610 includes the web-based PharOS management interface. Administrators can configure the operating mode, wireless settings, security, bandwidth controls and network parameters.

Pharos Control software also supports centralized management from a computer. It allows administrators to discover devices, check network status, update firmware and maintain multiple Pharos CPE units from one interface.
