Hikvision DS-3E0108D-O 8Port Fast Ethernet Plastic Switch

The Hikvision DS-3E0108D-O 8-Port Fast Ethernet Plastic Switch is a reliable, compact, and affordable networking device designed to expand wired network connectivity in homes, offices, retail shops, schools, and small businesses. Equipped with eight 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports, this unmanaged switch provides a convenient way to connect multiple network enabled devices while maintaining stable data communication.

Designed for simplicity and everyday networking requirements, the switch features plug and play functionality that eliminates the need for complicated installation procedures or software configuration. Users can easily connect computers, network printers, routers, and other Ethernet compatible devices using standard network cables. Consequently, it is an excellent choice for businesses and individuals looking for a straightforward solution to expand their existing network infrastructure.

Reliable Fast Ethernet Connectivity

The Hikvision DS-3E0108D-O provides eight Fast Ethernet ports supporting data transmission speeds of 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps. These ports allow multiple devices to communicate efficiently within a local area network (LAN). Additionally, the switch automatically negotiates the appropriate connection speed based on the capabilities of connected devices.

Its store and forward switching technology helps maintain reliable data transmission by checking Ethernet frames before forwarding them to their intended destinations. As a result, the switch supports consistent network communication for everyday applications such as internet browsing, document sharing, office networking, and network printing.

Simple Plug and Play Installation

One of the main advantages of this Hikvision Ethernet switch is its easy installation process. As an unmanaged networking device, it operates automatically without requiring manual configuration, specialized networking knowledge, or additional management software.

Simply connect the switch to a compatible power supply, link it to an existing router or network, and attach the required Ethernet devices. Furthermore, the switch supports automatic MAC address learning, allowing it to identify connected devices and forward network traffic appropriately.

The Auto MDI/MDIX functionality also simplifies Ethernet cabling by automatically detecting cable connection requirements. Therefore, users can establish network connections without worrying about crossover or straight through Ethernet cable selection.

Compact and Practical Plastic Design

The Hikvision DS-3E0108D-O features a compact plastic enclosure that makes it suitable for installations where space is limited. Its lightweight construction allows convenient placement on office desks, shelves, and other suitable surfaces without occupying unnecessary space.

Additionally, the practical housing design makes the switch easy to integrate into existing networking environments. Whether installed in a small office, reception area, retail counter, or home workspace, it provides essential Ethernet connectivity without requiring a large networking cabinet.

Efficient Network Expansion

As businesses grow, the demand for additional wired network connections often increases. The Hikvision 8-port switch offers a practical way to expand an existing network without replacing the primary router or installing complicated networking equipment.

For instance, an office can connect several desktop computers, a network printer, and other compatible devices through a single switch. Similarly, retail businesses can use it to establish wired connections between compatible point of sale terminals, computers, and networking equipment.

Moreover, its automatic switching functionality helps direct network traffic to the appropriate connected devices, supporting organized and dependable local network communication.

Suitable for Multiple Networking Applications

The DS-3E0108D-O is designed for various environments requiring basic wired Ethernet connectivity. Its versatile functionality makes it suitable for:

• Home networking: Connecting desktop computers, smart televisions, and other Ethernet enabled devices.
• Small offices: Expanding wired connections for workstations, printers, and office equipment.
• Retail businesses: Supporting compatible point of sale terminals and network connected computers.
• Schools and training centres: Providing Ethernet connections for computers and learning equipment.
• Small surveillance networks: Connecting compatible IP network devices that have separate power supplies.
• Business network expansion: Adding more Ethernet connections to an existing router or network infrastructure.

Because this is a non- PoE switch, it does not supply electrical power through Ethernet cables. Therefore, IP cameras, wireless access points, and other devices requiring PoE must use compatible external power supplies or separate PoE equipment.
