Dlink DGS-F1010P-E 250M 10-Port 1000Mbps Switch with 8 PoE

The DGS-F1010P-E is designed for IP surveillance and small-to-medium network installations that require both Gigabit data connectivity and PoE power. Eight Gigabit PoE ports allow the switch to power compatible IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones and other IEEE 802.3af/at devices directly through Ethernet cabling. Two additional Gigabit uplink ports provide connections to an NVR, router, core switch or other network equipment.

8 Gigabit PoE+ Ports

Ports 1–8 support: 10 / 100 / 1000Mbps Ethernet and IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. This means you can transmit both data and electrical power through the same Ethernet cable, reducing the need for separate power adapters near cameras or access points.

2 Gigabit Uplink Ports

In addition to the eight PoE ports, the DGS-F1010P-E provides: 2 × 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports. These can connect the PoE switch to an NVR, router, another switch or the main network.

120W PoE Power Budget

The DGS-F1010P-E provides a total 120W PoE power budget. Each PoE port can provide up to 30W, subject to the switch’s overall 120W power budget. This makes the switch suitable for many PoE and PoE+ cameras and wireless access points.

Up to 250m PoE Transmission

One of this model’s strongest features is its Extend Mode. Normally, standard Ethernet copper cabling is designed around a maximum channel distance of approximately 100m. When Extend Mode is enabled, ports 1–8 can support PoE/data transmission at distances of up to 250m, with the extended link operating at 10Mbps.  This feature is especially useful for CCTV installations where cameras are located far from the network cabinet.

Four Operating Modes

The DGS-F1010P-E uses a DIP switch to provide four useful operating modes:

Extend Mode – extends PoE transmission on ports 1–8 up to 250m.

VLAN Mode – isolates ports 1–8 from each other, helping suppress network storms and improve security between connected endpoints.

QoS Mode – prioritises identified video traffic for smoother video transmission.

PoE Mode – provides automatic PoE port power detection and power restart functionality.

6kV Surge Protection

D-Link also specifies 6kV lightning/surge protection for this model, an important feature for surveillance deployments where long Ethernet cable runs can increase exposure to electrical disturbances.

Plug and Play Installation

The DGS-F1010P-E is an unmanaged switch, so it does not require complex configuration. Connect your devices, supply power to the switch, and it automatically handles basic Ethernet switching and compatible PoE power delivery.
